How does it work?
The first thing to do is to have a conversation, on the phone or ideally in person. We need to know what your book is about, and your aims. You will want to know about us, our experience and how we can best work together.
Following this, we agree on a brief, and we begin researching your book – whether or not you’ve actually written anything yet.
Once we feel we have a good understanding of your book, and you are happy with the approach, we will propose a structure and schedule. We’ll then get started on your book, and communicate with you regularly. Collaboration is key.
We can work from interviews with you, your draft manuscript, or a combination. The details are different each time, just as every book and every person is different.
You get full control – the ability to remove or change anything you wish. It might be that we have some interesting debates on this point, but at the end of the day, it’s your book. We can be involved as a named co-author (eg in the credits), or as a ‘silent partner’ – it’s up to you.
