“No Blue Lights.” Twenty years spent volunteering for the ambulance service throws up some quite entertaining stories, and during Covid I jotted a handful down. It was half a book, so a friend who enjoyed reading my tales suggested I write a few more. You see, no-one knows about us Community First Responders and they should. Of course, writing the book is the easy bit. Getting it published is more complicated, and I knew nothing. Taking a stab in the dark, I contacted UK Book Publishing and never looked back! From their first reply Ruth and Jay have led me through the process from initial proof reading to holding my book in my hand and seeing it for sale online worldwide. I don’t know if I was just lucky but if you are looking for a recommendation, I would not hesitate for a moment in suggesting UK Book Publishing. They have been better than I could ever have hoped at explaining, guiding, offering suggestions, pointing out what could be done and what couldn’t, and then producing my book, my words, my project, which makes me very happy! It costs money to do it this way but UKBP spread the financial load over the process which eases the burden. Don’t dally: contact UKBP today!

So if you are about to write a book and get it published then there are a number of different ways. Of course you can publish yourself but the advantages of using a professional company. I was advised to go for Print On Demand which saves having to pay for loads of books to be printed. There are a number of things to consider including having it set out in a correct fashion, getting it listed and given a unique reference number so it can be searched. They also take on the process of setting up an Amazon account so at the end of the process you have a proper looking book which you will be proud of.

I wanted to put my life’s experiences into a book but had no idea how to even start. I contacted UK Book Publishing and I am so glad I did. I cannot compliment them enough. They helped me through every step, planning, writing, chapters, proofreading through to design and finally publishing. They made my experience of writing my book exciting. The team were excellent - quick turnaround of drafts/cover page/back page/ blurb etc. You get instant, free advice from experts who are flexible and responsive. I can't guarantee they won't charge for changes, but they made a couple of small but important changes for me at no cost. Finally, and most importantly, I couldn't be more impressed with the quality of the finished product.

An absolutely fantastic service from start to finish. Dan and the team were incredibly patient, professional and helpful throughout the entire publishing process. I couldn't recommend them more highly.
