Self-publishing on the up

Following on from my last post, another stand out statistic from Amazon’s Bestselling Kindle books of 2012 list is that of the 100 listed books, 15 were self-published (at least originally). Wow – almost one in six! This is great encouragement for all you wannabe writers out there – particularly as e-books represent a cheaper route into the market. Remember though that a good edit and a good cover remain essential.
