Sir Alistair has published many books over a lifetime of work in industry and academia, but Brief Lives is his first popular science book. It comprises a series of essays that explain the science as well as giving a biographical insight into the men and women who have helped to forge our modern world. From Einstein to Jobs, Curie to Crick, the biographies include hand-drawn portraits of each engineer, entrepreneur, philosopher or scientist, and provide an excellent starting point for those who wish to understand the significant contribution these people have made.
We edited and designed the book, set it up for print on demand and as an ebook, and handled the marketing of the book, including sending out review copies.
